All contestants must live in the Katy Independent School District. First place winners of the 2007 Katy Rice Harvest Festival Pageant are not eligible to compete in the same category as they won in 2007. The pageant will include the following categories:

Mini Miss Katy RHF
Little Miss Katy RHF 
Young Miss Katy RHF
Young Junior RHF
Junior Katy RHF Queen
Senior Katy RHF Queen

3 - 5 years old
3 – 5 years old
6 – 8 years old
9 - 10 years old
11-12 years old
13 - 14 years old
15 - 18 years old

  


Registration fee per entrant is $25.00
 

An optional workshop will be available for contestants on Saturday, September 13, 2008 , at  Cinco Ranch High School Cafetorium, 23440 Cinco Ranch Blvd.  Contestants ages 3 – 8 will meet at 3:00 PM; ages 9 – 14 will meet at 2:00 PM; and ages 15 – 18 will meet at 1:00 PM.  The workshop will include a rehearsal and hair/makeup consultations. 

All contestants are judged on denim wardrobe, poise and presentation.  Contestants must be in blue denim dress, jeans, or skirt to be eligible.  A denim vest or jacket will not qualify.  Contestants will be judged on full blue denim top or bottom.  There will also be an on-stage interview with each contestant asked a question they need to answer.

All female contestants must be escorted on stage by their father, or a brother or adult male relative or adult male friend over age 18.  All male contestants must be escorted on stage by their mother or a sister or an adult female relative or adult female friend over the age of 18.  All escorts must be over the age of 18.

The fully completed registration form and payment must be received by the Katy Area Chamber of Commerce by 5:00 PM Monday, September 15, 2008.  Registrations can be completed online at www.katychamber.com.

The first, second, and third place winners are expected to ride in the Katy Rice Harvest Festival Parade on October 4, 2008.  Each first place winner will receive $100, a tiara, sash, and gifts; second place winners will receive $50 and gifts; third place winners will receive $25 and gifts.
 

Please note that in the event that the Category has less than five (5) contestants, the Category will be cancelled and the registration fee will be returned.
