To Enter:

Submit your original rice recipes using
any Mahatma, Riceland or Success Rice product by Wednesday, September
25, 2008. The recipe ingredients should be listed in order of use in the
recipe. No abbreviations allowed; spell out items such as: tablespoon,
teaspoon, cup. If a can or purchased food item is used, include weight
of item, such as: 1 can tomatoes (14 ounces) or 4 stalks of celery.
Method of preparation should be clearly written. Complete cooking or
baking times and temperature, the number of servings, and the size of
pots, pans and dishes should be included. Recipe should be on 81/2"x11"
paper, preferably typewritten. Recipes should serve 4-6 persons.

Entry applications and recipes must be received by
mail, fax, or email by 5:00 pm Central Daylight Savings Time, September
25, 2008

Entries whose recipes are not received by September 25, will not be
accepted.

Limit of two entries per individual.
Only one First Place prize per household.

Recipe Judging:

Prepared rice recipe should be brought to
the VFW Hall, 6202 George Bush Dr, 8:00 AM, Saturday,
September 27, 2008. Judging will begin at 8:30 AM.

All entries become the exclusive property
of the Katy Area Chamber of Commerce and Riviana Foods Inc. (Sponsor)
and will not be returned. Submission of entry constitutes permission
for the Chamber or the Sponsor to use the entry, including recipes, for
editorial, advertising or promotional purposes without further
compensation.
